User Conduct: You are responsible for all content you post and activity on the platform. You agree to:

• Maintain a member profile that accurately reflects your professional and/or work experience and skills.
• Post only content that is relevant to professional networking and/or knowledge sharing (e.g., articles, discussions).
• Be respectful towards other users and avoid harassment, bullying, or hate speech.
• Not spam or engage in misleading or deceptive practices (e.g., fake profiles, false endorsements).
• Not share confidential information obtained through the platform without permission (e.g., trade secrets, non-public company information).

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.

3. Content Ownership and Licensing

Your Content: You retain ownership of any content you post on [WASL Community] (e.g., profile information, posts, articles, comments).

Grant of License: By posting content, you grant [WASL Community] a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content on the platform and for promotional purposes (e.g., marketing materials, showcasing user profiles).

Copyright: You will not post content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. In case you do, [WASL Community] waives any responsibility for doing so or any liability for consequences or clams by any third party.

4. Privacy

[WASL Community] respects your privacy. Please refer to our separate Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and disclose your information. You control your privacy settings and can choose what information you share with others on the platform (e.g., profile visibility, endorsements).

5. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

[WASL Community] is a platform for connecting individuals (professionals, students, educators, employers, organisations etc) engaged in the Saudi creative eco-system. We are not responsible for the content posted by users. We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any information posted on the platform (e.g., job postings, endorsements). You use the platform at your own risk. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform (e.g., reliance on misleading information, connection with unreliable users).

6. Endorsements and Recommendations

Users are responsible for the accuracy of any endorsements or recommendations they provide on other users’ profiles. False or misleading endorsements may be removed and may violate user conduct guidelines.

7. Job Postings and Recruitment

Employers and project-contracing organisations (or its representation) are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their job or project postings on the platform. Users may not share job postings outside the platform without permission from the employer. [WASL Community]may charge fees for premium job postings or facilitated recruitment services (e.g., featured listings, talent searches, published project opportunities).

8. Third-Party Integrations and Services

The platform may integrate with third-party services for background checks, skills assessments, etc. Users are responsible for reviewing the terms and conditions of any third-party services they use. [WASL Community] is not responsible for the accuracy or security of third-party services.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms (e.g., creating fake profiles, posting offensive content, spamming). You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your profile and content may be deactivated or deleted.

10. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes before they become effective. Your continued use of the platform following the changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of

Saudi Arabia.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved through negotiations. In the event that informal negotiations fail to resolve the dispute within [10] days. The dispute shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and [WASL Community] regarding your use of the platform.

• Sending you important platform updates and notifications related to your WASL Commuity based activity and interests

Connecting you with other members

• Analyzing platform usage in an anonymized manner to improve our services for professional networking

This research will be conducted to improve our platform, understand user trends and needs, and benefit the growing networking community. • Research Consent: You can choose to opt-in or opt-out of your data being used for anonymized research purposes.

We take all reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, in accordance with the PDPL. This includes implementing appropriate technical and organizational security measures.

8. Data Retention

We will retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with our legal obligations under the PDPL. Once it is no longer necessary, we will delete your information in a secure manner.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our platform is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. International Transfers (if applicable)

If your information is transferred to or processed in countries outside of Saudi Arabia, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to comply with the PDPL and protect your information.

**Terms and Conditions for Creating and Managing Groups and Members

1. Group Creation and Membership

·         Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to create or join a WASL Community group.

·         Group Purpose: Groups must be created for professional or networking purposes, or industry-specific discussions.

·         Group Description: Group descriptions must accurately reflect the group’s purpose and target audience.

·         Membership Approval: Group creators can choose to have open membership (anyone can join) or require approval from the group administrator(s) before joining.

·         User Conduct: All members are responsible for their content and activity within the group. The following are prohibited:

o    Spamming, promoting unrelated content, or self-promotion in a disruptive manner.

o    Posting offensive, discriminatory, or harassing content.

o    Sharing confidential information or violating intellectual property rights.

o    Engaging in illegal or unethical activity.

2. Group Management

·         Group Administrators: Group creators will be designated as group administrators with the ability to:

o    Approve or deny group membership requests.

o    Edit group details and descriptions.

o    Remove members who violate group guidelines or Terms and Conditions.

o    Moderate group discussions and content.

o    Assign additional administrator roles (optional).

o    Deactivate the group (optional).

·         Responsibility: Group administrators are responsible for maintaining a professional and respectful environment within the group. They should establish clear community guidelines specific to the group’s focus.

·         Platform Moderation: [WASL Community] reserves the right to remove content, suspend groups, or take disciplinary action against members who violate platform-wide Terms and Conditions.

3. Content Ownership and Sharing

·         User Content: You retain ownership of the content you post in the group (e.g., discussions, articles, resources).

·         Grant of License: By posting content in the group, you grant [WASL Community] a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute your content within the group platform (e.g., for other group members to see) and for promotional purposes (e.g., showcasing group activity).

4. Member Responsibilities

·         Following Group Guidelines: Members are expected to familiarize themselves with and follow the group’s specific guidelines established by the administrators.

·         Reporting Violations: Members are encouraged to report any content or behavior that violates group guidelines or platform Terms and Conditions.

5. Group Termination

·         Inactive Groups: [WASL Community] may at any time without notice deactivate groups that are inactive for a prolonged period.

·         Violation of Terms: [WASL Community] may at any time without notice terminate groups that violate these Terms and Conditions or platform-wide policies.

6. Disclaimer

[WASL Community] is not responsible for the content posted by users in groups. We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any information shared within groups.

7. Changes to Terms

[WASL Community] may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will notify group administrators of any changes before they become effective. Continued use of the group creation and management features constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Saudi Arabia.  

By creating a group, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and take full responsibility for the content and activity within your group. Members are also responsible for following these Terms and any additional guidelines set by the group administrator(s).

These Terms are subject to the platform’s terms and Conditions.

**Terms and Conditions for Live Events (Hosts and Participants)

1. Eligibility and Guidelines (Hosts and Participants)

·         Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to create or participate in a live WASL Community discussion, podcast or any other live event.

·         Topic and Content: Live events must focus on professional networking, career development, or industry-specific topics.

·         Content Standards (Hosts and Participants): All participants (including hosts) must comply with our platform-wide Terms and Conditions, including prohibitions on:

o    Hate speech, harassment, or discrimination

o    Spamming or self-promotion in a disruptive manner

o    Sharing confidential information or violating intellectual property rights

o    Illegal or unethical activity

2. Hosting and Moderation

Hosts:

·         Responsibility: As the host, you are responsible for the content and conduct of all participants during the live event. This includes:

o    Ensuring the discussion stays on topic and respectful.

o    Muting or removing participants who violate content standards.

o    Maintaining a professional and engaging atmosphere.

·         Platform Moderation: [WASL Community] reserves the right to monitor live events and take action against hosts or participants who violate our Terms and Conditions. This may include warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.

Participants:

·         Respectful Participation: Participants are expected to contribute to a positive and respectful environment during the live event.

·         Following Host Instructions: Participants should follow the host’s instructions regarding conduct and participation within the live event.

3. Recording and Distribution

Hosts:

·         Recording Permission: You must obtain permission from all participants before recording the live event. You are responsible for notifying them of the recording and their options to opt-out.

Participants:

·         Consent for Recording: By participating in a live event, you grant your consent to be recorded.

·         Opting Out: If you do not wish to be recorded, you can notify the host of your preference to opt-out before the event begins. This ‘may’ mean you cannot participate, or will be consider audience and not a live participant.

Platform Recording:

·         [WASL Community] may record live events for archival purposes or to promote platform activity. We will obtain independent consent from participants before using recordings for promotional purposes.

·         Distribution Rights: Hosts retain ownership of the recording (if permitted by participants) but grant [WASL Community] a non-exclusive license to display the recording on our platform and for promotional purposes.

4. Disclaimer

[WASL Community] is not responsible for the views or opinions expressed by participants during live events. We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any information shared.

5. Changes to Terms
