I was delighted to once again be invited to Effat University to participate in their panel discussion on “Heritage Revival: Innovative Paths for Sustainable Living.” It is always such a joy for me to return to this vibrant campus and witness the growth and evolution of the students – both in their technical mastery and confident self-expression.
As an advocate for preserving the rich cultural heritage of our region, I’m continuously inspired by Effat University’s steadfast commitment to this vital cause. But what makes their approach so remarkable is the way they empower the next generation to not merely preserve the past, but to breathe new life into it through innovation and creative exploration.
There is an inextricable link between honoring our heritage and empowering our youth to shape the future. The students here have demonstrated time and again their ability to approach time-honored traditions with fresh eyes and a pioneering spirit.
For me, being able to engage with these passionate students and celebrate the university’s remarkable achievements in this space is akin to a homecoming. I always leave Effat feeling energized and hopeful, knowing that the preservation of our shared heritage is in the capable hands of a generation driven to innovate from a place of deep reverence and pride. It is a privilege to be a part of this important dialogue, and I look forward to many more fruitful collaborations in the years to come.
